Warsaw Holidays for the Winners of the My Scratch Story Contest

The Science Around Us Foundation valuesgood teachers. That is why we decided to make February unusual for the six winners of the Open Competition for Teachers “My Scratch Story” and awarded them with a trip to Warsaw, the most beautiful city in Europe. The teachers will have a comprehensive sightseeing program, including a visit to Copernicus – the largest science center in Poland. After all, those who inspire us also need inspiration!

The final of the open competition for teachers “My Scratch Story” was held on November 28 in Minsk within the project “Programming is the second literacy”. The competition started on November 15 in two nominations: “My Debut” and “Master’s Experience” and was held in two stages. On the first, i.e. the correspondence stage the participants from all over Belarus presented detailed essays about their experience in the Scratch environment, told about the challenges they faced and the sources of motivation they found, while the experienced masters provided descriptions of how the system and its components worked. The second, i.e. the onsite stage involved the presentation of a ten minute public report.
Such a form of reflection allows teachers to assess the progress they made and share the most precious findings with their colleagues, which contributes to the dissemination of effective teaching experience and enhances the overall level of teaching.

We thank all those who put their talent and soul into the younger generation! We congratulate the winners once again with all our hearts! We wish them great Warsaw holidays!
