Digital Transformation Reaches a New Level
Digital Transformation is a scientific and practical journal that focuses on the analysis of digitalization processes in various spheres of public life. The scientific concept of the journal involves coverage of modern achievements in the field of technical and economic sciences, including the results of national and international studies.
On 2 May 2019, the Main Information and Analytical Center of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the Science Around Us non-profit foundation signed an Agreement to launch and develop the Belarusian scientific and practical journal Digital Transformation, as well as to disseminate scientific information in the field of digital transformation of the economy and education.
In accordance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement, the Science Around Us foundation shall engage in the international promotion of the journal and improvement of the quality of the published materials and cover the costs associated with publishing 3 issues of the print version while maintaining the relatively low cost of subscription to the print version, public access to its electronic version and no fee for publishing articles.
A strategy was also developed to reach the goals set in the Agreement.
It was decided to improve the quality of the materials and the journal itself through engaging highly qualified staff to conduct a thorough analysis of the received scientific articles, together with qualified editors (including a science editor) and a layout designer.
Several events were planned for 2019, namely:
- Creation of an international editorial board;
- Development of practical recommendations regarding the journal indexation by Elsevier staff;
- Introducing changes to the journal in accordance with the recommendations;
- Training editors of the journal by Elsevier specialists;
- DOI assignment to all articles of the Digital Transformation journal.
In addition, it is planned to hold a contest for the best article in the field of economic and technical sciences among the 2019 publications of the journal.
*Elsevier is one of the four major scientific publishing houses in the world accounting for about a quarter of all articles published in scientific journals annually. Founded in 1880 in Amsterdam, it has branches in the UK, USA, Brazil, and other countries.
