“Icarus at the Edge of Time” Concert
The Concert Season of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society was opened by the performance of the play Icarus at the Edge of Time in Minsk, on September 8, 2015. The concert was held under the sponsorship and organizational support of Science Around Us Foundation.
Icarus at the Edge of Time is a futuristic interpretation of the Ancient Greek myth, created in the genre of multimedia productions by a renowned scientist, a physicist Brian Greene, one of the best-known contemporary composers Philip Glass and a duet of media artists Al + Al. Together with a modern Icarus, who challenged the inevitable pull of the black hole, the audience, including many children, made a fascinating journey into the unknown, crossing the temporal and spatial boundaries.
